The International Science Slam is a creative competition where four young researchers present their scientific work in an engaging, entertaining, and accessible way to a broad audience. It is organized together by four young microscopy societies: the Young DGE (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Elektronenmikroskopie), the RMS (Royal Microscopical Society) Early Career committee, the MSA (Microscopy Society of America) Student Council, and the Young CSMS (Czechoslovak Microscopy Society). Each society has selected their best finalist to take the stage and compete for the title of the most creative, funny, and inspiring presentation. The goal is simple: make complex science exciting for everyone, no matter their background or expertise!

We warmly invite all IMC21 attendees to join us in the audience and help decide who delivered the most creative performance! More than just a competition, with this event we want to bring young researchers from across the globe together, celebrating our passion for microscopy, and connect with our peers from around the world, exchange ideas, and build lasting international collaborations.

The winner will receive a prize sponsored by Northern Light Microscopy!
