Volunteers
Applications to volunteer at IMC21 have now closed.
Thank you to everyone who has submitted an application to volunteer at IMC21, successful applicants will be notified by email by 17:00GMT Friday 13 February.
In order to be eligible to volunteer, you MUST be able to attend at least 3 FULL consecutive days of the congress. The availability required will be Sunday 30 August - Tuesday 1 September and/or Wednesday 2 September - Friday 4 September. We will schedule your voluntary time around any submitted abstract presentations, if you submit an abstract to the conference and are selected.
In return for your time, we are able to offer free registration to the congress, as well as lunch on your volunteering days.
You will need to provide a mobile telephone number and have access to WhatsApp, as this will be the main form of communication during the congress, and are happy to wear a "Here to help" high visable jacket while volunteering.
Applicants will be required to have all necessary visas or access rights to the UK in place by the 31 March 2026. This is so that we are able to schedule our volunteers time and avoid last minute changes.
Please note: Volunteers must make and pay for their own travel and accommodation arrangements. Evening meals are not included.

Applications are now closed.
Selected applicants will be notified by Friday 13 February 2026. Those selected applicants will then be asked to attend a short virtual informal interview Thursday 12 March 2026.
This interview enables us to get to know the volunteers prior to IMC21, and help us to assign volunteers to roles that they are most comfortable with.
If you have any questions about the application process or would like to be added to the cancellation waiting list (should any of our volunteers become unavailable to help), please email Jess Cole.
