IMC21 is being held at ACC Liverpool, a purpose-built arena and convention centre in the heart of Liverpool on the King's Dock

Liverpool is an incredibly well-connected city, with excellent public transport networks, road networks, and pedestrian access. With two international airports nearby, 20 minutes from the UK motorway network as well as trains and ferries, Liverpool is easy to get to for attendees from all over the world.

Air 

Liverpool John Lennon Airport features low-cost and charter flights to domestic, European and International destinations. Manchester Airport, just 45 minutes away, brings even more domestic and international destinations within reach.

Liverpool John Lennon Airport features flights to approximately 75 destinations in the UK and across Europe. A taxi from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to Liverpool City Centre will take approximately 20 minutes, or the express bus service, Route 500, will take approximately 25 minutes, and costing £3.00 (approximately €3.50).

Manchester Airport, just 45 minutes' away via the motorway network, has an even more extensive network of flights, with long haul destinations including American and the Far East with direct flights.

Train

Avanti West Coast operates hourly, direct services from London Euston to Liverpool Lime Street, taking just over two hours. Other national, regional and local rail services also operate into Liverpool Lime Street station. You can plan your journey using the National Rail website or trainline.

Bus or Coach

ACC Liverpool is just five minutes’ walk from the Liverpool ONE retail development bus station, which serves buses from across Merseyside. Liverpool ONE bus station is also the closest service point for long distance coaches from across the UK, with National Express services operating from coach stands one and two.

If you’re travelling by bus from other areas of Merseyside and Cheshire, including the Wirral, you may be dropped off at Queen’s Square bus station. Fortunately, this is an approximately 20-minute walk from our site and will take you through the city centre before bringing you out on the docks before your visit.

Car

Liverpool is well connected to the UK motorway network.

Walking/Cycling

Fortunately, there are plenty of pedestrian access paths in and around the city to make it easy for you to travel by foot. In fact, pedestrianised areas around Liverpool ONE link to the wide Waterfront boulevard, the docks and (of course) the ACC Liverpool campus.

If you’re walking in from the city centre, there are multiple pedestrian access routes leading to the waterfront – to make getting here possible from all over the centre of Liverpool. Need directions when you’re walking to us? Apps like Citymapper or Google Maps make getting here simple and safe, wherever you’re visiting from.

There are a number of cycle routes that enable cyclists to easily get around Liverpool and visit ACC Liverpool by bicycle. You can find out more about the official routes available from Liverpool City Council’s website. Our city has also invested in an improved cycling infrastructure, with dedicated cycle lanes throughout the centre. 

Plus, you can take your bike for free on ferries and trains in Merseyside, though remember it's busy in peak hours. And, if you’re bringing your bike from further afield, you may need to pick up a ticket to reserve some bike space (usually at no extra cost). Most stations have free, secure cycle storage too!
